Responsibilities
- Provide operational and programmatic support to the firm’s affinity groups, including coordination of events and related initiatives.
- Support the planning and execution of firmwide initiatives, programs, and events designed to enhance attorney and employee engagement.
- Assist in the implementation of strategies to attract, retain, and advance an inclusive workforce, with a particular focus on law school recruiting, lateral associate recruiting, and mentoring initiatives.
- Coordinate efforts to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of workplace engagement and inclusion programs, including assisting with client RFPs, benchmarking surveys, and the collection, analysis, and presentation of inclusion-related data and metrics.
- Support internal community-building and inclusion programs for attorneys and staff, such as heritage month celebrations, speaker series, lunch-and-learns, and book clubs.
- Assist with the preparation of Workplace Engagement Committee agendas and reports; draft, circulate, and maintain meeting summaries and minutes.
- Maintain and update the Workplace Engagement intranet and Teams pages, including the firmwide calendar of events; draft content for internal communications; and manage related materials.
- Coordinate the firm’s memberships and sponsorships with external organizations, partnering with Marketing on advertising, events, and participation in third-party programs.
- Support the administration of the Lewis M. Rose Scholarship, including managing applications and maintaining scholarship materials on the firm’s website and social media platforms.
- Assist with onboarding, program planning, and day-to-day supervision of Human Resources interns.
- Collaborate closely with the HR team to support workplace engagement and inclusion initiatives and provide assistance across all firm offices.
- Provide support to the Legal Personnel teams on special projects and as needed.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; three to five years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with web-based platforms, databases, and content management systems strongly preferred.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proactive approach to communication and client service, delivering high-quality support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
